About Untangle Lab

We stand at a crossroads. Climate change, the energy crisis, and rising inequality show that how we deploy technology matters. Technology amplifies the impact we make - for better or worse.

This urgency is what we, as founders of Untangle Lab, feel. Vincent and Maxime began their careers as technology strategists at Accenture. In their work for large organizations, they saw technology scaling ever faster, while attention to people, leadership, and societal impact lagged behind.

For them, the core wasn't just in technology, but in mindset. Maxime brought that lesson from elite sports: as a rower, she learned how mindset, reflection, and teamwork make the difference between short peaks and sustainable performance. Vincent brought a different perspective from the US: proactive, entrepreneurial, and focused on ownership and speed. It was precisely this combination that revealed where things often go wrong - and where they can be better.

To gain deeper insight, they secured an international EU research grant of €250,000 and collaborated with five European universities. The insights from this research formed the starting point of Untangle Lab.

With Untangle Lab, they bring these insights into practice. Together with Head of Research Eline de Jong, they help leaders and decision-makers apply technology not only smarter, but also more consciously. This way, they contribute to a movement that gives direction to technology - instead of being driven by it.
